Juanita (Jean) Conrardy Juanita (Jean) Conrardy,
82, of 2821 Windepoint Court, Sheboygan, passed away at her home on Monday, February 15, 2010.
She is now a
servant to her Master, the Lord in Heaven. Jean was born October 20,
1927 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late John
She attended St. Peter Claver Catholic Grade School, the former
South
Side
Junior High School, and the former Sheboygan
Vocational School. Jean was united in marriage to Charles (Charlie) Conrardy at Holy Name of
Jesus Catholic Church by Msgr. Anthony J. Knackert on June 2, 1951. Jean was employed by
various businesses in Sheboygan, in addition to being a nanny and housekeeper.
She took great pride in
decorating her home and flower beds. She was a self-taught craft designer.
Many
of her craft works are in the homes of relatives and friends. She was a hard worker and
helped her husband build their first home. One of their first Thanksgivings,
Jean was found on the roof of their home, working side-by-side with Charlie,
nailing shingles. Jean and Charlie enjoyed dancing to Big Band music.
Jean
loved observing the changes of each season at her home and enjoyed watching the
large variety of birds leading to her collection of porcelain birds. Jean was a
devoted and loving wife, a loving mother and “Gramma.” Jean was a generous
and giving person to people less fortunate than she was. Jean was a member of Saint
Dominic Catholic Church for 58 years. She was a former member of The
Sheboygan Saddle and Bridle Club, PTA member of the former Mapledale
School, former member of the Maplettes Homemakers, former member of UAW Local 833’s
Auxiliary, AARP, and Wisconsin Democratic Party. Survivors include her
husband, Charlie, a daughter, Faith (David Ginger) of Madison, a son, Mark
(Kelly) of Cedarburg, and the “pride and joy of her life,” three
grandchildren, Peter, Casey, and Courtney Jean.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her sister,
Alice Ann, her three brothers, Lester, Roger, and Ronald Derus, and her
sister-in-law Doris Derus and brother-in-law Bob Dietz. Also pre-deceased was
Jean’s close friend, Phillis French of Wickenburg, Arizona. A Memorial Mass will be
celebrated at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, North 21st Street
and Geele Avenue
in Sheboygan
on Tuesday, February 23 at 12 Noon. Family and friends may gather at the
church, N. 21st St.
and Geele Ave.
prior to the Mass from 10 am until the time of Mass.
At Jean’s request, her remains will be cremated. In preference to receiving
flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in Jean’s name for Saint
Dominic Catholic Church. Charlie and the family
extend a huge thank you to Aurora’s Hospice Visiting Nurse Association for providing wonderful and
compassionate people, and especially to nurse Mary Ann and aide Andrea, who
cared for Jean with loving, compassionate assistance and friendship. The Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Virgil F. Gustafson Jr. Virgil F. Gustafson Jr., of 3712 Limestone Ct., Sheboygan died after a long and courageous battle with his illness, and was taken into the loving arms of his Lord on Monday February 15, 2010.
Virgil was born December 18, 1936 in Sheboygan to the late Virgil Sr. and Vernetta (Ottensmann) Gustafson.
He graduated from Central High School, class of 1955. Virgil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962, as a Company Clerk at Ft. Belvoir in Virginia. He married Faye Hoffmann on February 15, 1958 at St. Clements Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Virgil worked in the printing trade for over 25 years as a Lithographer at Universal Lithographers. He also helped his wife Faye run her family restaurant, Hoffman’s at Riverdale for 9 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, was an avid Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan and was a stout backer of the Packers and Bucks. Virgil had a deep love for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them. The twinkle in his eyes, the contagious smile on his face and the everlasting joy he expressed when he saw them, will always be remembered.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Faye, daughter and son-in-law Lisa (Steven) Splittgerber, sister and brother-in-law Rosemary (Chet) Robinson all of Sheboygan, sister-in-law Rosalie Cowdin of Jackson WI, and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Virgil was preceded in death by his father and mother, a son Erik and a sister-in-law Judith Reese.
Family and friends may call at Immaculate Conception Catholic Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan on Friday, February 19th from 9-11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Glenn Powers officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Robert W. Jensen Robert W. Jensen, 83, of 1539 Ohio Ave. passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center with his loving family at his side. Bob was born on August 24, 1926 in Oshkosh, a son of the late George and Louise (Poeschl) Jensen.
He attended schools in Oshkosh. Robert was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater. On August 1, 1949 he was united in marriage to Betty Bahr at St. John Catholic Church in Oshkosh. After returning from the service, he was employed with Coca Cola and then was employed with Wonder Bread for 10 years in Oshkosh; following that as an agency manager in Sheboygan for 18 years. He had also been employed for 10 years with Piggly Wiggly, retiring in 1992. His hobbies included woodworking and trains. He enjoyed history, gardening and cribbage. Bob was a sports enthusiast especially with the Packers and Chicago Cubs. He was also very involved with his grandchildren always making time to attend many of their activities. Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the United Commercial Travelers and formerly with the American Legion in Oshkosh. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty; two sons, Tom (Cindy) Jensen of Sheboygan Falls and Jeffrey (Peggy) Jensen of Sheboygan; a daughter, Barbara (Tim) Schulz of Sheboygan; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Nathan (Sophie) Jensen of St. Louis, Matthew (Lisa) Jensen and their children, Jacob and Megan, Marissa Jensen and Mallory Jensen all of Sheboygan. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Jensen. A funeral service for Bob will be held 7 pm, Monday, March 1 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12th St. on Monday from 4 pm until the time of service at 7 pm. In preference to flowers, memorials in Robert’s name will be directed to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Bob’s family would like to

Charlotte D. (Bourret) Levchenko Charlotte D. (Bourret) Levchenko, age 76, of 2 Ironwood Dr., Sheboygan, died on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.
She was born in Sheboygan
on July 7, 1933, the daughter of the late Archie and Leona Keuther Bourret. Charlotte and Andrew were the owners of Andy’s
Bar for over twenty-five years. They ran the bar from 1960 to 1986. Charlotte
enjoyed bartending and spending time at their cottages on Lake Winnebago and in
Park
Falls. She is survived by her brothers, Don (Patricia) Bourret, of Sheboygan, Arch (Myrna) Bourret, of Columbia, MO, and by her sister, Bev (Jim) Erdmann, of Kiel. Charlotte is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Kellner, and by her two brothers,
Roger and Gordy Bourret. In accordance with Charlotte’s wishes a private funeral service will take place with Rev. Bryan Osladil of
the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, officiating. Burial will take place
at Greenlawn
Memorial Park. The staff of the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Frieda Littmann Frieda Littmann, a lady for whom faith and family always came first, of 1231 Eisner Ave., formerly of 1601 N. 15th St., went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at her home at the age of 93.
She was born in Sheboygan on May 4, 1916, the daughter of the late Alexander and Christina Justus Kraus. She graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran School and went on to Sheboygan Vocational School. In 1934, Frieda married Samuel Welland in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death. She then married Donald Littmann on August 15, 1953 in Sheboygan. Don preceded her in death on April 5, 1986. She took it upon herself to visit nursing homes weekly to spread joy to friends, neighbors and family. She was well known for baking cookies as there were always cookies at grandma’s. She shared them with everyone probably baking over a “million” cookies in her lifetime. Walking was her passion and she walked five miles per day for over thirty years. Always enjoying gardening, she had her last garden this past summer. Frieda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was active over the years in the Mother's Club, choir, women’s dart ball, bible classes and XYZ Club. Frieda is survived by three daughters, Mary (Joe) Nelesen and Alice Altmann, both of Chilton and Linda (John) Zimmerman of Eau Claire; son-in-law, Ron Seefelt of Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren, Cindy Moehr, Susan Seefeldt, Jeff Seefeldt, Scott (Amy) Seefeldt, Jacque (Bob) Angel, Don (Kara) Voigt, Jori (Eric) Hinz, Sarah (Dean) Gebhart, Martha (Daryn) Woelfel, Nathan (Amber) Schurman, Rita (Matt) Muilenburg and Matthew Kloster; 22 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally, son-in-law, Wayne Altmann; three brothers, Alex, Adolph (Buck) and John and three sisters, Sally, Molly and Ella. A funeral service for Frieda will be held 1 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the church, N. 13th and Lincoln Ave. on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service at 1 pm.
A memorial fund has been established in Frieda’s name and may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

A. Frederick Roehrborn A. Frederick Roehrborn, 97, of He was born May 4, 1912, in the Town of Wilson, a son of William and Minnie (Bendler) Roehrborn.
On November 2, 1935 he
married Ione A. Merget. They celebrated their 70th wedding
anniversary in 2005. Ione passed away May 7, 2006. Frederick
was a farmer and also did farm drainage tiling. After his retirement he helped
area farmers. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran
Church, Sheboygan. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Dennis Udovich of Sheboygan, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mabel Roehrborn of Sun City, Arizona, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ione
and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Adela and Adolph Roehrborn, Dorothy and
Erwin Zimmerman and Ruth and Hilmer Walter. Home going services will be at Our Savior’s
Lutheran
Church, 917 Mead Avenue, Sheboygan
at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 7, with the Rev. Marcus
Powers officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until time of
services. The Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, Sheboygan is assisting the Roehrborn family.

Henry Ruppel Henry Ruppel, 91, of 1716 Ontario Ave. passed away on Saturday morning, February 27, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center. Henry was born on September 30, 1918 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Frederick Sr. and Marie (Markgraf) Ruppel.
He attended Ebenezer Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He attended Jefferson School and graduated Sheboygan High School in 1937. On October 6, 1939 he was united in marriage to Ruth Brummeyer and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2000. Henry served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific Theater on the island of Okinawa. His employment included the Sheboygan County Hospital, Manitowoc Shipyards and the Vollrath Company. He retired from Vollrath in 1983 with the position of carpenter/pattern maker. He also had worked as a painter/decorator for many years. Henry always enjoyed a game of cards and time spent camping. His passion for woodworking was evident in the time he spent in his workshop. It was there that his “tinkering” could create and refurbish many projects, many of which went to the Homespun Shop. Henry is survived by his daughter, Nancy Debbink of Sheboygan, three sons, Thomas Ruppel (Nancy Lawrence) of Sheboygan Falls, Ronald (Ritsa) Ruppel of Gaithersburg, MD and James (Nancy) Ruppel of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Kristen Borth, Amy Ruppel, Chad (Rachelle) Ruppel, Brian (Xin) Ruppel, Elizabeth (John) Paulson, Anastasia Ruppel, Sue (Dallas) Behnke and James (Michelle) Debbink; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Kelsey and Connor Borth, Chloe and Sophia Ruppel, Christopher, MacKenzie Mason and Trenton Debbink, and Hunt, Nora and Nikko Paulson; and his two sisters, Esther Sebald of Sheboygan Falls and Ruth Van De Kreeke of California.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick, Jr., Edward, David and Clarence Ruppel; his sisters, Marie Sohn, Pauline Van Calligan, Emile Maass and Emma Gilberg; and his two infant brothers. A memorial service for Henry will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, March 3 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Lyle Zumdahl officiating. Inurnment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum. William E. Schmidt William E. Schmidt, age 85, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
He was
born in Plymouth
on July 15, 1924, the son of the late Emil and Elsie Schultz Schmidt. William attended local schools in the Plymouth
area. On May 23, 1953, William was united in marriage to the former Lou
Ann Harrison in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2003. He was a U.S. Army
Veteran, serving his country during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. William was a life time member of VFW Wolf-Olson Post 1230. William was painter for over thirty years,
working in Sheboygan, Milwaukee
and Green Bay. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, woodworking and fishing. William was
a great handyman and he also enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews,
great nieces and great nephews. William is survived by his nephew, John (Patti) Harrison and their children, Joseph (Margaret) Harrison and their son, Joseph Levi, a niece, Katherine (Jonathan) Belval, and their three children, Logan, Zoe and Dominic, a nephew, Michael (Aimee) Harrison, of St. Louis. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 12:00pm at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St.,

Sharon S. Siminow Sharon Siminow, 65, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Sheboygan Progressive Nursing Home.
She graduated from North High School with the class of 1962. For many years she worked at Security First National Bank, First Wisconsin and Firstar Bank. She also was employed with Road America, Marcus Cinema and Piggly Wiggly. She also enjoyed going to the movies, dancing, music and knitting. She was a huge Packers fan. Sharon is survived by her
children and grandchildren, Kimberly (Bernard) Anderson and their children,
Rashada and Ashon of Sheboygan; Dean (Tamera) Siminow and their children,
Braeden, Kellen and Sophia of Vienna, Virginia; David (Cathy) Siminow and their
dog, Opie, which Sharon loved, of Sheboygan and Jason (Autumn) Siminow and their
child, Charles of Sheboygan.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service for Sharon will be held 3 pm, Monday, February 22 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12th St. on Monday from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm. Anton “Tony” Simon Anton “Tony” Simon, age 87 died February 19, 2010 at the Sheboygan Senior Community.
Tony was born June 3, 1922 in Sheboygan son of the late John and Anna (Yesinauskas) Simon.
He attended Holy
Name
Grade School
and graduated from Central
High School
in 1941.
He proudly served his country in the 4th division of the US Marine Corp in the South Pacific during WWII from 1942-1945. He saw combat in three battles, wounded in two and was awarded two purple hearts. He served as a honor guard for President FD Roosevelt’s funeral procession in Washington DC. At the war’s end, he was serving at the Marine Base in Quantico, VA training future officers. He was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. “Once a Marine, always a Marine” Semper Fidelis.
Survivors include his loving wife Lillian, of 61 years; 3 children Sandra (Mike) Holtz residing in Glen Allen, VA, Lori (Hermond) Colvin residing in Belvidere, IL, Don Simon residing in Sheboygan, WI; 9 grandchildren Mike Jr. (Kelly) Holtz residing in Burlington Ontario, Canada, Katherine (Mike P.) Neiderer residing in Tucson, AZ, Andrea (Dawson) Garrod residing in Pittsburgh, PA, Ryan (Cristin) Middlesworth residing in Belvidere, IL, Hermond Colvin III and Ashley Colvin residing in Belvidere, IL, Jodi Matlock residing in Goodyear, AZ, Stephanie (Randi) Simon residing in Des Plaines, IL, Timothy Simon residing in Neenah, WI; 7 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Michael, Alexandra, Samantha Holtz residing in Burlington Ontario, Canada, Lily and brother (to be born in June) Neiderer residing in Tucson, AZ, Brianna and Brandon Matlock of Goodyear, AZ; sister Joanne (Bill) Chaney of Allegan, MI; 3 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his
parents, sister and brother-in-law Anne (Bill) Jocis, two sisters-in-law, and
two brothers-in-law.

Doris H. Spender Doris H. Spender, age 84, of 713 Dillingham Ave. passed away on Saturday morning, February 27, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with her family beside her. Doris was born on October 5, 1925 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Otto and Edna (Reichardt) Richter.
She attended the St. Francis of Assisi Convent in Springfield , Ill. prior to returning home to help with her family. In 1949, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed at St. Nicholas Hospital and Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She retired from the ENT Department of the Sheboygan Clinic in 1991. On December 2, 1961 she was united in marriage to Frank Spender at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Doris was a devoted Catholic and was active with the various parishes in Sheboygan. At Holy Name Catholic School, she could be found on First Friday reciting the rosary with the children and her good friend Therese Bettag. Doris is survived by her husband Frank, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Jessica Spender of Sheboygan; her two grandchildren, Jacob and Jasmine Spender; two sisters, Dorothy Wergin of Milwaukee and Judith (Donald) Zimmerman of Sheboygan; three brothers, Eugene (Delores) Richter of Algoma, Robert (Karen) Richter of Kelly Lake and Jack (Sharon) Richter of Pardeeville. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews along with many many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Otto Richter, Jr. and a niece. A funeral service for Doris will be held 1:30 pm, Monday, March 1 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12th St. from 11 am until the time of service at 1:30 pm. In preference to flowers memorial may be directed to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. Doris’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the ER and K4 staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and the Sharon S.
