Coats for Kids Program NINETEENTH ANNUAL "COATS FOR KIDS" CAMPAIGN
Lending Library Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home has expanded its Family Resource Center to include our new Lending Library. We bring our library to Sheboygan as a part of our commitment to community outreach. We feel strongly in our responsibility to share our expertise so as to better educate the community. Our library contains more than one hundred and fifty books, videos, brochures and pamphlets on issues of loss in our daily lives. Literature and videos can be checked out for a month at a time. Simply visit our library between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Our library includes materials on the following subjects: loss and grief situations connected with the death of a family member, co-worker or friend; suicide, AIDS, SIDS, prenatal loss, divorce, and readjustment to life after abuse. We also extend an invitation to individuals in our schools, churches, hospitals and civic groups to tour our funeral home. Our tours provide the opportunity to learn firsthand about funeral service in our society today.
Memorial Garden Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home has created a memorial garden with flag pole to honor all Sheboygan County men and women who bravely served the United States during both peacetime and war. On Memorial Day, Friday, May 30, 2003, we dedicated this area at South Twelfth Street and Spruce Court. Dignitaries in attendance were: State Senator Joe Leibham, The Honorable James Schramm Mayor of Sheboygan, Alderman Daniel Berg and the City of Sheboygan Police Honor Guard. More than fifty veteran honorees representing area Veteran of Foreign Wars Posts were in attendance. An Invocation was given by Deacon Michael Burch, Parish Director of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Representatives of the United States Army and United States Navy conducted the Military Honors. This detail was supplied by the Military Honors Program through the Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs. A monument at the entrance to the funeral home marks the event as follows: THE MEMORIAL GARDEN AND FLAG POLE AT S. 12TH STREET AND SPRUCE COURT IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF ALL SHEBOYGAN COUNTY MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE BRAVELY SERVED THE UNITED STATES DURING PEACETIME AND WAR. MAY THIS SYMBOL OF FREEDOM CONTINUE TO INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATIONS TO SERVE IN THE ARMED FORCES AND PROTECT THE VALUES OF THIS GREAT NATION.
